Duffs Charters is a family run charter business operating charters out of Port Welshpool + more. They provide many services including Fishing Charters, Guides and other marine services such as passenger transport to and from Snake Island and Wilsons Prom.

A70 km trail that runs from Leongatha to Port Welshpool through Koonwarra, Meeniyan, Stony Creek, Buffalo, Fish Creek, Foster, Toora and Welshpool. The trail is an ideal place for walking, running, cycling and horse riding. The end of the Great Southern Rail Trail is conveniently located next to BIG4 Long Jetty Caravan Park. Our park is the perfect place to rest and recuperate!

District Maritime Museum

The Port Welshpool and District Maritime Museum is housed in one of the original fishermen’s homes of Port Welshpool. It houses a collection that showcases the history of the district inlcuding maritime artifacts, a shell collection and history of those who where the founding families of the area. It is also the site of the Janet Iles, a fishing boat built in 1914 for the Smith family. The Section 86 Committee manages the collection and the museum to enable locals and visitors alike to share in the history of the Port Welshpool. The museum is open on Saturdays and Sundays and public holidays between 12.30pm and 4.30pm. For more information please contact the museum.

Agnes Falls

Agnes Falls is the highest single span waterfall in Victoria. It is a beautiful 59 metre waterfall that cascades over a series of rocks. About 200m from the carpark there is a viewing area overlooking the falls with a nearby picnic area. The area is known for a variety of wildlife and is home to many native bird species. You can also bring your dog with you! Agnes Falls is only a 15 minute drive from BIG4 Long Jetty Caravan Park.

Experience the wild beauty of Wilsons Promontory on a full day coastal cruise. Travel along the dramatic coastline to the southernmost point of mainland Australia. Visit iconic landmarks including Skull Rock, Rabbit Island and the historic Wilsons Promontory Lighthouse. A highlight of the day is a stop at the secluded Refuge Cove, where you’ll have time to swim, kayak, paddle board or enjoy a short bush walk in this peaceful corner of the Prom, with morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea served on board throughout the day.

Tarra-Bulga National Park

For guests looking to explore one of Victoria’s most beautiful rainforest escapes, Tarra-Bulga National Park makes for an unforgettable day trip from BIG4 Long Jetty Caravan Park. Located just over an hour’s drive away, this lush, cool-climate rainforest is home to towering mountain ash trees and giant tree ferns. Wander along well-maintained walking tracks, including the popular suspension bridge walk, which offers a unique view high among the treetops. Scenic lookouts throughout the park provide breathtaking views across the Strzelecki Ranges and out toward the Gippsland coast, making it a great spot for photos or a quiet picnic.

There’s always something happening at BIG4 Long Jetty Caravan Park, especially during long weekends and school holidays. Wilsons Promontory National Park

Port Welshpool is a great base for visiting Wilsons Promontory National Park, with the drive being roughly 45–60 minutes (about 50–60 km) depending on where you’re heading within the park. The route is scenic and easy, taking you through rolling farmland and coastal views before reaching the park entrance at Tidal River. It’s close enough for a relaxed day trip, perfect for hiking, wildlife spotting, or enjoying some of Victoria’s most iconic beaches.

Please check local conditions before you set out. Make sure you are prepared carry enough food and water, good comfortable shoes are a must as is appropriate clothing.

Port Welshpool Beach

The Port Welshpool beach is located right next to BIG4 Long Jetty Caravan Park. It is a quiet coastal spot renowned for the historic Long Jetty, excellent fishing, and stunning views of Corner Inlet/Wilsons Promontory. It offers a shallow, family-friendly swimming beach and easy boat ramp access, making it ideal for a relaxing seaside getaway. The beach is pet friendly and perfect for kayaking, stand-up paddle boarding and collecting shells! Narrow at high tide and wide when the tide is out.

Just a short 10 minute drive from BIG4 Long Jetty Caravan Park, Toora is a hidden gem in South Gippsland that offers the perfect day trip for our guests. Raised camp fire pits are permitted at BIG4 Long Jetty Caravan Park. We have fire pits for hire and fire wood guests can purchase. Fire Restrictions are currently not in place, don’t forget the marshmellows at Happy Hour!
